Clara and Dan each had separate ideas about what their engagement session would look like: Clara wanted flowers in bloom and a garden vibe, and Dan wanted the beach. Lucky for us, Maine has lots of both! We started at one of my very favorite places to shoot: the Maine Audubon Society in Falmouth. Their community organic gardens provided such a fun and colorful backdrop! Then we headed down the road to Mackworth Island State Park to capture that beautiful golden hour light at the beach, and play with their pups. (If you are familiar with Maine, you know the weather is all about extremes- the last time I shot at Mackworth Island State Park in Falmouth, it was January. We were absolutely freezing- I had to shoot with gloves on because my fingers felt like they were going to break off! This time, I think it was 95 degrees!)
We capped the session off with sparklers, which added such a fun touch to the shoot. Mega thanks to Clara's friend Danielle for being the dog treat goddess, and for helping everyone laugh and be easy. I loved this shoot! I can't wait for Clara & Dan's wedding next year!
